Great run past weekend

Geng Bas Sekolah II

Past weekend, CA’s very own thewildgym coordinator, Cheramiche (Che), organized a Trail Running cum PotLuck at Kiara Park. Twelve weekend warriors were there to take up the challenge. Che planned the route in such a way that it resembled the Salomon Trail Run, scheduled on 6th December 2009.

We covered about 14km of trail (based on Shuk’s odometer) and it was really a fun run with a really fun crowd. Here are some of the photos taken using my Olympus miu Tough.

these people were always laughing .... wonder what kind of trail would make them cry?

kiara03

another great "they-spotted-nothing" shot!

this looks like a scene from 'pegawai immigration serang hendap kongsi pekerja binaan'

kiara05

this is something like most of us wanted to do when we drive past the bermed slope like this along the highway....

closer shot - Syah sedang marah Shuk for taking his own sweet time :)

kiara08

I took most of these shots from far ... once I got close-ups, cheery looking guys appeared!

kiara07

... and another one ....

kiara06

... and another one ... I was about 200m away from them.

I thought these guys were supposed to be running?

kiara15

They ran indeed ... for a good 14km.

We had a ‘buffet’ spread right after the run. Unfortunately, Syukran & wife Nazlee, and Doris & partner could not join us the potluck. For the rest of us,  we grabbed the opportunity to replenish what were lost during the run (well, based on Shaq’s HR monitor, he lost approximately 1,400 kilocalories). I prepared a do-it-yourself Salad SpringRoll. Big thanks to Kash and hubby for the one-inch thick watermelon slices (really sweet and juicy!), Syah for the jemput-jemput udang (springyly-soft prawn balls – with bite-size prawns in it), and Shuk for the freeflowing icy-cool 100+ and mineral water.

doris – Flexibility Training (FT) aka stretching is really important. Glad that you’ll be paying more attention to it now. Have fun!

  14. thetrainer says:

miaomiao – it’s not really a club (not yet…hehhe). It’s just a friend-friend kinda gathering. Anyone is most welcomed to join in any of our events.
p/s – Corporate Athletes is actually a personal fitness training company.
