Yup people, I’m back to nasi lemak for my pre and post-race meals …
….. (just kidding!) …. Well, I didn’t make it for the Team Elite Powerbar for this 2010-2011 season. They sent me an e-mail yesterday which I think was well-written. I’m not sure who got the sponsorship, but I know those who were selected really deserve it. I still rely heavily on their powergel tho, and will be consuming it until some companies pop up with another better gel (or cheaper gel of similar quality) than this one.
Those who made it for year 2010-2011, congratulation and do make full use of the sponsorship. Here’s the excerpt of the e-mail that I received from Powerbar. Have a good weekend everyone!

Greetings from PowerBar!
Dear Arfian Yusof,
Thank you for your interest in PowerBar ® Team Elite and also an opportunity for an interview with us in the search of PowerBar ® Team Elite 2010-2011. We at PowerBar® were impressed with all of the finalists and each presented a unique and attractive set of skills and abilities. After much deliberations and considerations by the committee, we regret to inform that you are not successful for this intake. This is by no means a poor reflection on record. There is much to be admired in your record and we at PowerBar® encourage you to further enhance the record and try again next intake. Do not give up. “Pain is temporary. Quiting lasts forever” by Lance Armstrong.
We wish you the best in your future endeavours. Thank you for your continuous support for PowerBar®.
Regards.

hahahaha… i can’t help but to laugh.
Ingatkan u ada resipi nasi lemak baru….
Hey, at least now somebody at PowerBar Malaysia knows who Arfian Yusof is.
if only they make nasi lemak equal to PowerBar ….. hmmmm
Its okay.. try again next year
(kita kena try menang podium dulu la bro)
yim – hehe.. nasi lemak in a tube.. pergh..
Dear Bro
While I was being lifted to my floor this morning, it crossed my mind what have you been cooking this morning. Rupa2nya this “Back to nasi lemak” post. Alamak, this post makes me hungry lah!
I’d like to share with you another quote from Mr Lance Armstrong, “For me it was always a simple passion”. Passion in the heart – thats priceless! So, dear bro, whether you’re in in the team or not, you have that passion that surpassess many out there as I heard the shortlisted names were reduced by 50% this year compared to the previous year (44 namees). Wow!
Have a great weekend bro and insya Allah, rezeki lain datang bergolek! Cheerio!
Fine, I’ll stand proud and tall at the podium in tomorrow’s PNM … (for camwhore session after the run je lah …. hehhehe)
I didn’t get it too, a bit disappointed. But not to say I would boycott Powerbar products from now on. Will continue using them, just have to limit them to my own expenses.
switch to dates or raisins. Its cheaper.
to be picked and recognised is an achievement of its own, that many people could only thought of dreaming. At least you are going towards a direction.
Well done, bro. Time to triple up, and get on grooving!
Good luck for PNM, smoke them streets!

Hi Arfian,
Thanks for putting my Q and A in your blog. I saw it, the other day. Where is it, now can’t find
Is it okay to share 1 plate of nasi lemak, with a friend / family. A portion for one, to be shared by two. Okay ke, eat like that. For me, I dun need to eat much nasi lemak, but more like ‘just to taste’ (Nak rasa aje, bukan makan sampai kenyang).
p.s Still got free Power Bar to give
